For The Gunther
The Gunther is an excellent place to live. The building itself is an old brewery converted to modern apartments. It has a certain an old-world industrial charm. The location is great! It is walking distance to many of Canton's restaurants and attractions. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff is. Jen, in particular, goes out of her way to make your experience here a great one. They welcome your four legged friend too-making them feel like part of the family!

We have lived at The Gunther for almost a year while looking for a house. We are extremely sad to be leaving such an incredible complex. When apartment hunting, we visited over 20 apartment complexes in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. The Gunther was the best, by far. The location is great because it’s an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, the water, etc. There’s even a restaurant right outside the front door. It’s an old building that’s been renovated, so it has a ton of character, and it’s much quieter than any other apartment building we’ve lived in. When we’re in our apartment, we feel like we’re in our own world. It also was one of the only complexes we found that had larger apartment options. Being a family of 4, we needed more than just a small two bedroom. Not only did the size appeal to us, but also the rent was more reasonable than comparable finds and the apartment was well-updated which was a huge perk. Last, but not least, our absolute favorite part about this apartment has been the people. We moved to Baltimore without knowing anyone, and they have become like family to us. Never have we experienced an apartment group that was so friendly and eager to help. In the past, we’ve typically had minimal contact with the staff after moving in. At The Gunther, we see them weekly, if not daily, and they have done more for us than we could’ve imagined. Sherron, Marsha, James, Wayne, Sean, and Chris… Such an amazing team! They make it so easy to live here, and we’re going to miss it, and them, so much!

I had applied for an apartment and been approved. The leasing office said I had to put a $250 down to hold an apartment and that it would go towards the security deposit once I signed the lease, or if I decided on a different apartment complex they would fully refund the money. I ended up choosing a different apartment complex, because I got a lot more for the money elsewhere. Once I notified them, they asked where to send the security deposit; I gave them an address and after a month nothing was received. I emailed twice and left a voicemail and received no response. Beware, do your due diligence before putting a hold on an apartment at the Gunther.

Good luck getting ahold of somebody (anybody) there. Highly inconvenient office hours as well! Not responding to their residents' emails, which is VERY unprofessional! Pretty disappointing experience overall!!!
